From important negotiations to critical meetings, quality interpretation makes communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures a breeze and reflects positively on your company.
Our conference interpreting service, also known as simultaneous interpretation, usually consists of translating the speaker's words as they are spoken, using a microphone while the participants use headsets to listen to the translation in real time.
The interpreter takes notes and translates the speaker's words at
regular intervals without headphones. This technique is suitable for work meetings or official speeches but can be tedious for an audience and is therefore unsuitable for longer events.
This technique is used to allow two people or small groups of people speaking different languages to communicate, and is best suited to site visits, negotiations, contract signings or personal appointments ... This can be done after a short speech, or consecutively, sentence-by-sentence, or as chuchotage (whispering); equipment is not usually required.
We work with you to gain an understanding of the interpreting service you need, the place, date and duration of the event, and the number of participants requiring interpretation services as well as the language combination.
Simultaneous and liaison interpreting services are charged per day. Consecutive interpretation however can be charged per hour, per half day (up to 4 hours) or per whole day (up to 8 hours). These rates include the interpreter’s preparation, travel time, accommodation and per diem.
To make your event a success, we only offer interpreting in our areas of expertise. Your confidentiality matters to us, which is why the topics covered along with the materials and documents you entrust us with are handled with the upmost care.
